My name is Ryan Dooks I’m the owner and operator of RED 5 Collectibles and have been a long time science fiction and comic book fan. With one particular science fiction series being my all time favorite that being the Star Wars saga from the originals to the prequels I like them all. I also enjoy the novels, comic books, video games, and am an avid collector, which is why I opened my store because I have a passion for the genre. With Star Wars the main obsession there is still other things I like such as comic books because they are awesome. I read mostly super hero titles like Superman / Batman, All-Star Batman, Supergirl, Moon Knight, Spider-man, All-Star Superman (just getting into this one), JLA, and the new Wonder Woman are just some of the current titles I enjoy.


As for science fiction shows I really like the new Battle Star Galactica even though I have only seen a few episodes of season 2. Waiting for it to come out on DVD and then watch them all because I hate trying to play catch up once a show has started. Also like Firefly and the Serenity movie really well done Joss Wheddon is a great writer I like all his work so far even though I’ve only seen Buffy season one but it was really entertaining. Movie wise some of my favorites are Predator, Aliens, Lord of The Rings, Batman Begins, Spider-man (1 & 2), X-Men (1 & 2, 3 is ok), Pulp Fiction, Signs, Jaws and a bunch more. Big music fan with my tastes ranging from outlaw country, hip-hop, punk, metal, movie scores, basically anything I think sounds good. Some favorite artists include Johnny Cash, Slayer, Megadeth, Metallica, Ice Cube (Old School albums nothing new), MC Lars, Avenged Sevenfold, Transplants, Flogging Molly, and many more.


So that’s all I can think about writing about myself so look for posts and all that kind of fun stuff in the coming weeks.
